Cook A Few Homemade Candy Recipes For Your Man This Christmas. He’ll Love Candy For His Gift

December 4, 2008

When Christmas comes it can be a little difficult to find hot gift ideas for men. Men are extremely difficult to buy for at the best of times.

If you’re really stuck here’s one idea that will work for almost all men. Homemade candy. If you’re a little handy in the kitchen homemade candy is extremely easy to make, with some exceptions, and it makes a great gift idea for a man for Christmas or any other gift time.

If you make some great food for him, like candy, you’ve put some of yourself into the gift. You’ve taken the time and made the effort to put some love into your gift. It’s so easy to just head down to the candy store and buy some candy, but homemade candy is so much better. It’s made purely for him, from you.

And just about everyone loves candy, me included. I love to eat candy and I love to make candy. Well I love to cook generally.

Homemade candy, or any other homemade yummy, is a great way to put a bit of yourself into his Christmas gift. So make him some great candy this year.

If you’re stuck for a recipe here’s a good website about homemade candy recipes, but there’s plenty more. Try and start with a simple recipe and work up to the harder stuff once you’ve tried a few. Stay away from recipes that require you to simmer water with sugar to a certain temperature, that takes time to master. Start simple and give him some great homemade candy for Christmas.

He’ll love his candy from you.

Do Barking Dogs Keep Him (Or You) Awake?

November 17, 2008

If barking dogs keep him awake at night it’s annoying for you, and him. Here’s a gift that will offer a solution.

Why not give him an ultrasonic dog bark deterrent. It looks like a birdhouse but it’s actually a cleverly designed birdhouse that emits a sharp ultrasonic sound that dogs can hear, and don’t like, but people can’t hear.

Christmas Gift For A Man

Great idea. There’s nothing worse than a dog that keeps you awake at night. The perfect Christmas gift for him this Christmas if he’s one being kept awake by barking dogs.

Or even if he’s got his own dog, and the neighbours complain, and he can’t work out how to stop the dog barking.

Get it here, type “barking dog” into their search tool at the top of the page.

More About Skin Care Products

September 26, 2008

I’m on a bit of a skin care kick at the moment.

I’ve been reading away, and getting more and more interested in this skin care thing. Funny how you can get distracted so easily isn’t it!

And there are so many strange things going into skin care products at the moment. Not that there’s anything wrong with that of course, if there’s nasty chemicals going into skin care products then I for one don’t want any of that at all, and if I’m buying some for my wife I don’t want that either.

Here’s the latest, it’s a Japanese seaweed called Phytessence Wakame. Strange, but it seems it does wonders for your skin and is natural, and safe.

Sounds good to me. Tomorrow it’s mens gifts again, promise.

What About Skin Care As A Gift For A Man?

September 25, 2008

Now this might sound strange but what about a gift for him of a skin care product?

I was browsing skin care products a few days ago, not particularly as a gift for men, but I was actually looking for something for my wife.

I was stunned to read all sorts of nasty things about mainstream skin care and anti aging products. I had no idea but it seems there is all sorts of nasty ingredients in them. The FDA doesn’t really regulate them, there’s no requirement that the FDA either satisfy itself that skin care products are safe, or that they work. So many of them have very suspect ingredients, and many don’t do much at all.

So I figured that there’s my idea for my wife’s gift gone. Until I came across some wonderful natural skin care products that are safe, work well, and nasty free.

And while I was looking I saw skin care products for men and got to wondering, do skin care products make a good gift for him?

For women, (provided you get natural safe ones) yes. For men?????

Maybe. But it depends a lot on the man. For your average guy you’re probably better off with that hot NFL jersey he’s always wanted. But for a guy who’s ready to take care of his health, who maybe exercises regularly, eats well and so on, it could be a good idea.

But I’d talk to him first. Otherwise when he opens his gift you might not get the smile you expected.

If you want to find out more about the products that I’ve bought for my wife, click here. And find out more information about dangerous skin care products and natural skin care products as well.

Why Not Give Him A REAL Sauna?

June 24, 2008

I’ve written about giving your man a sauna before, I love saunas so that’s just a gift that I’d love. Now of course most people wouldn’t actually buy him a real sauna for a gift, but they’d get a bunch of sauna visits for example. Maybe 10 visits down at the local gym.

However I do think that a real sauna is also a great gift for him as well, though obviously more expensive. You have a number of choices for buying saunas, and if you’re canny you can buy quite a cheap sauna online.

The cheapest saunas are infrared saunas, particularly portable infrared saunas. They are small and can be moved around so if as they are lightweight and portable they’re cheaper.

So if you love the sauna and your man does too then why not buy him a full blown sauna? Go on, lash out. There are places to buy cheap saunas, I’ve been looking at one cheap sauna store which has listings from eBay, and I couldn’t believe that some saunas were so cheap. Brand new too.

So don’t just think about buying him a series of 10 visits to the sauna, consider buying him a real sauna, there are cheap saunas around and at less than you’d think, depending on what you buy. And of course if you buy one big enough for the 2 of you then you can use it just like him, or with him. A great opportunity to spend some quality time together.

Golfing Gifts For Golfing Travelling Men

June 19, 2008

Does your man love to play golf and to travel? Golf is about the most popular sport on the planet now, and golfing holidays are extremely popular too.

But there is one problem with a golfing holiday, how does he get his golf clubs to where he wants to go? Golf clubs are by their nature big and heavy, and difficult to transport. They rattle and bang together and can be prone to damage, and a new set is pretty expensive.

So perhaps there’s a great idea there for a gift for your travelling golfing man. A golf travel case.

A golf travel case is a case for his golf clubs that protects them from damage no matter how roughly they are handled. A good golf travel bag will allow him to pack his clubsm and often quite a lot of his other golfing equipmentm like his golf shoes, and have it securely padded and locked and away from the prying eyes of people who might be tempted to steal something from his golf bag, like all his golf balls.

Travel with golf clubs, particularly air travel with golf clubs, can be a headache that can be relieved by the use of a good golf travel case, and that’s why golf professionals use them, and why they might make a good golf gift from you, to him.

You can get soft golfing travel cases, and hard travel cases. For airline travel he needs a hard golf travel bag, it offers the maximum of protection to his vulnerable golf clubs. Read more »

Need A Great Gift For A Man Who Lives Like A Caveman?

June 7, 2008

I’ve been inspired to write this by a friend of mine. His girlfriend asked me if I had any great gift ideas for his birthday.

Well when you look at his house (he’s a bachelor) you’re struck by how many gifts you could think of, just by looking at how he lives. His house is – well – politely, a little ordinary.

It needs to be livened up. It’s not that it’s a hovel, it’s just old, and needs to be brightened up. The walls need painting to a better color than the dirty color they are now, I think it’s cream. And the carpet has seen better days.

What did I suggest to her? An area rug. The carpet is really tired and lacks color. A great area rug will hide those stains and wear marks in the carpet and add color and style to the room. Of course it will take more than one rug to lift the whole house, it would take a complete overhaul. But one colorful stylish rug right in the middle of the room will do wonders.

I love area rugs and the way they lift the room, any room. Or perhaps a runner rug for a hallway. Or perhaps a round rug for under the table. Read more »
